ThinkingSafe has been in business since 1997, developing its unique integrated approach to data protection and disaster recovery in response to the needs of its customers and partners.BackupInitially developed to support our own online backup service, the functionality of our software has been continually developed and improved for over eight years. Its reliability and sophistication is recognised both by managed service providers and large multiple site organisations wishing to operate their own enterprise backup solutions. ReplicationIn 2006, functionality was extended to add continual automatic data restore to warm standby servers, providing an extremely cost-effective snapshot replication solution for disaster recovery, combined with consolidated data backup, working reliably in both physical and virtual environments. ArchiveIn response to customer demands for a fast, reliable and flexible solution for long-term storage of historical data, further functionality was released in 2008 to offer integrated file and email archive. PartnersAs the company has grown, we have developed significant business with backup service providers that recognise the benefits of a world class enterprise product with expert UK-based support and commercial flexibility. There is also a partner programme for software resellers to supply ThinkingSafe’s enterprise data management solutions. LicensingIn 2010, a flexible and cost effective pricing model was introduced so that customers can select the appropriate functionality to match their requirements and budget. Options include perpetual, term and software plus service. |
