a disaster, staff may be too shocked to
respond objectively to the recovery requirements,
which is why our whole disaster recovery
team is on-call to help you.
Thinking SAFE maintains a disaster recovery
team on permanent standby, so that we
are ready to respond to our customers
needs during the critical minutes and
hours following a disaster.
Our Network Operating Centre provides
the initial point of contact following
the disaster, and call out the disaster
recovery team. The first task in conjunction
with your own staff is to understand the
scale and nature of the disaster, so that
the appropriate disaster recovery options
can be selected. The second task is ensuring
the logistics will be in place by the
time they're needed, which might involve
shipping backup appliances and temporary
servers to new locations. The third task
is to ensure that any interim facilities
(such as hosted exchange or other servers)
are made available.
